Once the developed design has been agreed and granted approvals for construction, more technical detail drawings may also be required. These measured drawings show a full detailed specification of sizes, colours, finishes and quantities, necessary for accurate & timely construction.

Technical drawings can serve useful purposes:

To inform suppliers the exact specification and quantity of materials required for construction & pricing

To discuss the construction process with all parties involved to foresee any technical issues that could arise during construction, thereby allowing technical improvements to the design before commencing

To enable the contractor to determine a more accurate timescale for construction

To enable the contractor to more accurately cost the construction

They can form part of a construction contract between the client and contractor
